I went to a bereavement support group this morning. It went well. I did get a little emotional in talking about Bette’s ashes and their resting place, for now, is with my brother Stephen and his family. God bless them.
Bette was/is a huge fan of Cat’s Meow and introduced me to the wooden collectibles at the dawn of our relationship. At the building holding the support group were a dozen Cat’s Meow resting on the wainscot. Bette has given the group her blessing!
Family and friends-I love you all.

John,
need to share with you what has happened to us. Last nite I was at Shane’s HighSchool District Titlle Baseball game at Holy Cross College Stadium. You are aware of the challenges he has had with his Head Baseball Coach this year. ( reminds me of Keven’s Sr. yr in High School and the challenges he had with his Baseball Coach) It was the fourth inning at SPM (Shanes school), was up 8-0. it was becoming a blow out, – I promised you that I would read your blog last nite. so I began reading it and all of a sudden the SPM crowd went wild. I was focused and kept reading, little did I know that they were all cheering for Shane because he came into the game to pinch run. The next thing I know he is on 3rd and the whole SPM crowd is standing and shouting. CRAWFORD, CRAWFORD and he points to the students and faculty in the stands to acknowledge their support. Then he scores and the place goes crazy, it was like the last scene in the film “Rudy” Pretty wild. all while reading your blog. then
Then a few hours later this AM I all of a sudden find your card for A childs Tear which I lost several months ago.
I share this because I wanted to let you know that Bette’s Spirit is very much alive not only in my house but in my entire family. We are very honored that you have chosen us to guard her ashes until the time comes for her to be sent to the beauty of the ocean blue. Bette will always be with us. We love YOU!
